According to the Disney website, they have updated a few things for Resort guests and day visitors.
On June 22nd Fort Wilderness Resort and Campgrounds, as well as various Deluxe Resorts will be reopening. (The full list of properties is at the bottom of this post)
They are requesting guest review advisories and restrictions before coming to Florida.
Disney states that guest under quarantine or isolation orders must not enter the resorts.
You will need a reservation to come on property.
Guest will need a confirmed room reservation to stay overnight or a dining reservation to visit for the day.
Face Coverings for guest age 2 and up.
Guest will need to wear the face covering in all public areas unless they are dining or swimming.
Resort Reservations do not guarantee theme park admission.
On July 11th the theme parks will begin reopening and a reservation and valid admission will be needed to enter the park. A resort reservation does not guarantee a theme park reservation.
Recommendations by Disney:
Disney recommends cashless transactions and having the latest version of the “My Disney Experience” app downloaded with location services enabled and notifications on.
Online Check-In is encouraged and a new option to chat with a Resort cast member virtually via the “My Disney Experience” app will be available starting June 22nd.
Resort Benefit Changes:
Transportation (Magical Express) to and from the Orlando Airport is still being provided for resort guest, however fast passes and extra magic hours have been suspended.
Cleaning
High traffic areas will be cleaned more frequently.
Guest rooms will be thoroughly cleaned and cleaning tools will be cleaned between each room.
Many things in the room will be wrapped in single use packaging, such as towels, extra linens and glassware.
Rooms will receive a light cleaning every other day unless declined. (DVC rooms will receive service on the 4th and 8th day of stay)
Transportation:
Buses will utilize physical distancing and they do warn about possible delays.
Buses will go between the resort, Disney Springs and add service to the Theme Parks once they open.
Minnie Van Service is suspended.
Self parking is available and valet is limited to those with disabilities requiring parking assistance.
Services:
Bell Services will continue to deliver luggage to rooms, however they will not be walking guests to rooms.
Club-Level Service, In Room Celebrations, Dry Cleaning, valet laundry service and shipping services are temporarily unavailable.
Resort airline check-in may be unavailable.
Amenities:
Feature pools will be open with reduced hours and will limit capacity to allow for physical distancing.
(Yacht/Beach Club’s feature pool Stormalong Bay will be closed at opening and the Beach Clubs leisure pool will be open for those resort guest)
Fitness centers will reopen and adhere to state and county regulations.
Shopping:
Shops will be open with modifications to help with physical distancing.
Pin Trading will be available with pin boards in various locations, cast members will not being wearing lanyards for trading. (Later in their article it says pin trading will be unavailable at the initial reopening)
Delivery services to the front of the park or resort will be suspended, however you will still be able to ship merchandise home.
Dressing rooms will not be available.
Returns can be made in-person once locations reopen.
