Disney World: Parks Reopening update

The parks have reopened (Yay) and many have reported their experience. 😃

Disney Springs

We recently went to Disney Springs and experienced the temperature check by AdventHealth employees. It was quick and we enjoyed our day at Disney Springs. We heard cast members reminding guest to wear their masks properly. We noticed there was only one entrance into most places but we didn’t have to wait in any lines to enter. We purchased a few masks and enjoyed a quick lunch. It was great seeing happy cast members waving and welcoming us.

The Parks

When you enter the parks you’ll go through a temperature check and a modified bag screening procedure. You’ll take out your metal objects and go through the scanner holding your bag. The finger scanners weren’t being used just the scanning of magic bands. Guest who weren’t wearing a mask were reminded to put on their masks before being allowed to enter. Disney has specified masks need to have ear loops.

Throughout the parks there are signs to remind of social distancing as well as periodic announcements. Hand washing stations are located throughout the park and hand sanitizing stations are at the entrance and exit of the rides.

Character Cavalcades are the new way to see characters and are not at a specified times. They are done a little different in each park. In Magic Kingdom you’ll see them along the same route as the parade and at Animal Kingdom you’ll see characters on a boat. Character meet and greets, parades, and fireworks are still suspended.

The line queues have stickers showing the 6 foot distance and plexiglass partitions to provide social distancing. Disney has said they will be cleaning high touch points every two hours.

You’ll be able to take off your mask while you are eating, drinking, or at a relaxation station. Relaxation stations are areas that have tables distanced much like a restaurant, some are air conditioned. 🥰

To order your food you’ll need to mobile order and be notified before entering the restaurant to pick up your food, this is also the procedure at resort quick service locations.

We can’t wait for our upcoming stay and to share our resort experience with you.
