Lines Lines Everywhere!

Going to Disney everyone is prepared to wait in some lines ⏱ but these are a few tips to get you into the park a little quicker. πŸ˜‰

Bag Check:

Each time you enter the park you’ll have to go though security. If you are carrying a bag or have a stroller/scooter/wheelchair you will need to go through bag check.  Depending on the time of day there may be long lines.

To get through bag check a little quicker send one person through with the bag(s). When you are getting in line choose your line wisely.  The table has a line on each side with the cast member at the end.  The cast member will alternate sides while checking the bags and this is why sending one person through will save some time.  Sometimes there isn’t a line on each side of the table and people instinctively line up on the right.  So take a moment and  look at the lines.  πŸ‘€

Remember to look left!πŸ‘ˆ

Many times you enter more towards the right and people just follow the crowd.

Don’t follow the crowd!!! πŸ‘₯

Now that you are in line at bag check, unzip EVERYTHING and if there’s bags in the bag take them out and unzip them too.  The bag checker will unzip all the compartments and if your bag is stuffed they will take most of your items out to throughly check the bag.

My next trip I plan to put loose items in ziplock bags to make this process go a little easier.

***Expert Tip***

If you use a collapsible/foldable bag/backpack you can put it in your pocket and carry items through the “no bag” line.  We always bring in bottled water, bottled soda and a portable charger.

Scanning your band:

Take everything you learned about choosing the right line and apply it to lining up to scan your band.  Look both ways, πŸ‘€many times, especially at the Magic Kingdom. Often times the lines to the left are much shorter.

Basically don’t follow the crowd! πŸ‘¨β€πŸ‘©β€πŸ‘§β€πŸ‘¦

Many people go straight and end up waiting longer.  When you go to scan your band there will be 2 scanners or possibly 4 per cast member.  Remember to use BOTH scanners. I hear the cast members directing people to the second scanner multiple times.

Obviously don’t be rude but don’t be shy either. (Never be rude to Cast Members.)

What to bring

So what’s in our bag?  Every time we bring in mole skin, bottled water, bottled soda, sunscreen, and ziplock bags.  I also usually have a hairbrush, hair clips or ties and minimal makeup.  πŸ’β€β™€οΈ

If we plan on meeting characters we have our items that we are having signed.

I have heard of people who ball up their bag and carry their items through the no bag line to save time.  I personally have became pretty good about judging the line.  Now this is certainly not something to stress over, you will only be saving a minute or two but the closer we get to the parks the more excited we get and we just want to get in.

In the middle of the day there usually isn’t a line, unless it’s Epcot during a festival. It seems that the line at Epcot is pretty consistent throughout the day.

Now that you’re in the park a little quicker, go enjoy your day for a few extra magical minutes! 🧚
