“It is one of the blessings of old friends that you can afford to be stupid with them.”
Ralph Waldo Emerson
One of our favorite things to do on a Disney Trip is “Drink Around the World” at Epcot. We have tried many of the drinks around the World Showcase and here are our recommendations:
Where to Start? 🤔
Angela recommends skipping Canada and starting in the UK with a Pimm’s Cup.
Rebecca says “go big or go home” and recommends not skipping Canada. (However, Rebecca thinks you should end with Canada)
Angela and Rebecca Recommend: Mint Tea (signature drink from Morocco non-alcoholic) or Tangerine Daiquiri
Stop 4 – Japan: 🇯🇵
Angela Recommends: Sake
Rebecca Recommends: Hot Sake 🍶
Stop 5 – USA 🇺🇸
Angela Recommends: American Adventure- meal recommendation (#1 BBQ Meal and Sam Adams) or Beer from Block and Hans (Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale recommended) 🍻
Rebecca Recommends: Kentucky Bourbon Barrel Ale
Stop 6 – Italy 🇮🇹
Angel Recommends: Limoncello shot or cocktail or drink with meal at Via Napoli (Meal Recommendation #2)🍸
Rebecca Recommends: A wine flight🍷🍷🍷the wine cellar. It’s a great place to cool down and rest for a bit. Also the olives and cheese plates are great snacks. (Meal Recommendation #3)
Stop 7 – Germany 🇩🇪
Angela Recommends:GF Beer (this one is refreshing and a mix of beer and grapefruit juice so ABV is only 2.5)
Rebecca Recommends: Glühwein (They have this year round but it is a hot beverage so I recommend it on a cooler day. I, however, will drink this even when it is 100 degrees out. 🤷🏼♀️)
Stop 8 – China 🇨🇳
Angela Recommends: Specialty Cocktail from Joy of Tea or Beer from Lotus Blossom Cafe
Stop 9 – Norway 🇳🇴
Angela Recommends: Carlsberg Beer or A shot of Linie Aquavit
Rebecca Recommends: A Shot of Linie Aquavit (Become a real Viking )
Stop 10 – Mexico 🇲🇽
Angela Recommends: Margarita of Choice 🍹
Rebecca Recommends: Avocado Margarita from inside the pyramid. (Pro Tip: If you ask for a table you can spend some time there and get chips and salsa!)
Stop 11: Canada 🇨🇦
Rebecca Recommends: Ice Wine (It’s your dessert drink)
End: Joffrey’s ☕️ (just outside the exit of Epcot)
Rebecca Recommends: Iced tea (I always grab one on my way out)
Pro Tips: 💁🏼♀️
1.Plan on taking an Uber back to your hotel (Easier, less thinking, and you won’t embarrass yourself if you are a bit tipsy)
2. Pace yourself (Eat small snacks, take breaks, enjoy air conditioning when you can)
3. Drink lots of water and then drink more water (The heat sneaks up on you and intensifies alcohol, drink more water than you think you need)
4. Go with a group (This way you can try sips of each drink and then get a full glass of the ones you really enjoy!)
5. Be nice! (If you’re a buzzkillington when buzzed, don’t drink. Disney is the happiest place on earth. Don’t be the person that ruins that for anyone. Cast Members included!)
6. Have fun but drink responsibly (Don’t embarrass yourself at Disney)
7. Don’t let your friends talk you into buying stretch canvas art (or do!) 😜
Let us know what your favorite Epcot Drink is and if you see us enjoying a “luscious libation” in the World Showcase, give us cheers! 🥂
