USA: 10 Weekend Getaways to Take with Dad

At Imagine Wanderlust, we are all about experiences over things. So here are some fun weekend getaways you can take with your Dad to have a unique and memorable Father’s Day. 

1. Nashville, TN (for the country music 🤠 or whiskey lover🥃):  Check out Printer’s Alley, Corsair Distillery, and the Grand Ole Opry. 

2. Denver, CO (for the skier ⛷): Denver is excellent for skiing. Check out Echo Mountain Resort, Loveland Ski Area, or Eldora Mountain Resort. 

3. Yosemite National Park,CA (for the dad that loves camping 🏕): Camp, hike, climb, or bike amongst the giant Sequoias. 

4. Chicago, IL (for the foodie🍴): Chicago is know for it’s delicious food. Check out Michelin Star rated Alinea for a unique dining experience then enjoy some pizza at Pequod’s Pizza, Lou Malnati’s, or Armand’s Pizzeria. 

5. Williamsburg, Va  (for the history buff or theme park lover): Check our Busch Gardens, pretend like you live in colonial times, and try out your hand at axe throwing. 

6. The Keys, Fl  (for the seafaring dad ⛵️): Enjoy a relaxing weekend of fishing, snorkeling, and boating. Check out John Pennekamp Coral Reef State Park for the reefs and Robbies to feed the tarpon.

7. Greenbrier, WV (for the golf lover⛳️) Purchase the unlimited golf package and spend the weekend golfing. 

8. Helen, Ga (for the dad that loves something different ) This Bavarian style town is unique and a great place to visit for Octoberfest. Check out the vineyards for some local wine tastings. 

9. Asheville, NC (craft brew lover 🍻):  Check out Asheville Brewing Company, New Belgium Brewing or really any of the many craft breweries in Asheville. You won’t be disappointed! 

10. New York City, NY (for the culture craving dad 🎭): Check out the Guggenheim, Met, or Natural History museum, see a Broadway show (get tickets at TKTS for a discount), catch a Yankee game, or enjoy a steak at Gallagher’s steakhouse. 

We also have a soft spot for Atlanta, Ga (for the food and Aquarium) and Orlando, FL (for the theme parks)
